About Me

A mentor and good friend once told me, "Designers Rule the World.” With those simple words I realized the power of design and its ability to change the world. That idea then shaped who I am today and what my mission is.

"To use the power of design to inspire, educate, and say what needs to be

said, in hope that my efforts will help make a more unified world. As a designer,

it is my responsibility to help shape the world around us so I choose to

DESIGN FOR GOOD."

Craig Cassidy

As a child who was born and raised in the Historic town of Las Vegas, New Mexico, I first found my sense of design through architecture and buildings. Las Vegas is known for having many beautiful buildings from different time periods, which includes the only Castle in the state of New Mexico.Subconsciously I spent my teenage years visually studying buildings, so studying Architecture my first years of college seemed to be the right fit. I received in associates degree in Pre-Architecture from New Mexico State University, then attended University of New Mexico’s Architecture and Planning program. Although my passion is buildings, I found myself wanting to reach out to people more with my design so I transferred out to New

Mexico Highlands University to pursue my career as a Media Artist. With the skills I am attaining at Highlands, I am on the right track to work as a “Design for Good” advocate. Some good examples of Design for Good include the efforts of Kony 2012, Tom’s Shoes, and on a local level, Rojo Apparel. I am at a point where I have just kicked off my career as a Design for Good advocate. I am currently finishing up my first awareness project, the Save Fort Union Drive-In campaign. At this point I don’t know exactly how I am going to change the world, but I do know one thing. There is a lot more to come from this designer.
